Klub Kurzhaar-Voran Weser-Ems e.V.
We are a young club but our members are experienced in handling, training and breeding of versatile hunting dogs. We committed ourselves to hunting dogs of group 7, i.e. the pointers. Each one of us decided on his/her favourite breed, which has created an interesting diversity and nurtures the particular breed chosen.
We all have one thing in common though; we want the versatile hunting dog to be up to standard. As a young club we want to enthuse young people for the chase and the hound. We support them in training and handling their dogs right from the start, all the way through. Very experienced handlers are among us.
It is very important to supply breeders with regular information in regard to upbringing of the litter, possible illnesses and necessary precautions for the dogs' health. We want to work hand in hand with vets from our region and actively support them with the distribution of puppies. We want to improve our judges’ performance at breeding tests through regular workshops at which case studies will be revised and discussed.
It is indispensable to stay in good terms with proprietors of hunting grounds who voluntarily offer their grounds or waters. Last but not least we would like to achieve a good reputation in our region by establishing our annual club fest.
We want to be a strong club with an active movement within. We are already an international alliance. We have members from the United States of America, the Netherlands, Canada, Turkey, Norway and of course, from Germany. Our judges are active in all of these countries. International relations are indeed an important criterion in finding new homes for our puppies as well as for the more experienced dogs.
On a regular basis, our members are being provided with all information necessary. We are thankful for good ideas and suggestions, which are supportive of our common cause.
